Resident Counselor 1

$13.53 to $15.69 per hour

This is the full-time entry level position in the Residential Counselor series. To provide care, guidance and supervision of juveniles in a staff secured residential setting; to plan, develop and implement activities that enhance the growth and development of the individual child; and to perform parental related duties as assigned. Incumbents initially perform the more routine duties assigned to positions in this series and work under close supervision. This position is distinguished from the Resident Counselor 2 in that the Residential Counselor 2 position performs more complex duties within this series including the assessment, case management, and treatment services of juveniles.
